IT WAS NOT GOING ANYWHERE. I seriously had trouble watching it. It was not helped by the fact that the pilot was released A YEAR before the show aired, and halfway through the season there was a SEVENTH MONTH HIATUS.

So, yes, part of the blame goes on SYFY not the showrunner. But he is at fault as well. Shoehorning in cylons into a show that was never supposed to be BSG-related...
