UPDATE ON ICELANDIC POLITICS!
Jón Gnarr, chairman of the Best Party, has revealed that discussions took place with the Social Democrats yesterday on forming a coalition in the Reykjavík City Council. Gnarr said he is demanding the chair of mayor and he believes Dagur B. Eggertsson, chairman of the Social Democrats in Reykjavík, will agree to that. “We aren’t aiming towards anything, really. It was a mutual decision within...

is this the thing that you guys are always telling me about? you know, with the star wars episodes?

Rifftrax reminds me more of MST3K, while Red Letter Media is essentially a creepy guy crafting a thesis of why George Lucas sucks.
I love Red Letter, but don’t really ‘get’ Rifftrax.
I just found out that my mother is more active on twitter than I am.
Also, she tweets celebrities like she knows them.

This is pretty much what I will become if I go back to school to get a PhD in High Ed. Provosts are usually faculty, most schools don’t have VPs for Strategic Initiatives, and everyone else does financial stuff.
So…what do I think about this? Well, it’s ok as long as I’m at a small liberal arts…
I am assuming you will hire me to teach when you get there....
No one watches Ashes to Ashes.
I have no one to talk to about this week’s episode.
I AM DYING HERE, GUYZ.

I think I got a job…? Why don’t employers actually ask if you want the job anymore. Too nebulous.

Cairo or Beijing? Input?
I would rather live in Beijing, but that’s just me. Any difference in the job itself?
(PS- what about Japan? That would totally be my first choice.)
It’s a job. Huge difference. Cairo = more money upfront and a simpler transition to a job in North America. I know Cairo.
Beijing has less money upfront, but tutoring will make up for it...

Job Update (for those who care)
I have been offered two positions already, in China and in the UAE. I wouldn’t be in the UAE for more than a summer - I don’t want to live there. But China… hrm. Beijing. Could be fun. It might only be a year.
I have an interview tomorrow for a job I am not really qualified for in Bucharest, Romania. If it pays well, it would definitely be my first choice outside of Toronto.
