Yes, there were terrible episodes. Yes I do mean the majority of them.
But I challenge you to watch s01e19, “Duet”, and tell me it’s not amazing. Kira, still virulent against the Cardassians, suspects a visitor to the station as being a war criminal. She proceeds to deduce his identity - the leader of a Bajoran work camp akin to Auschwitz which she helped liberate 15 years...
