"Not that I’m not excited about this fossil.  I love fossils.  And a well preserved, relatively complete specimen at that.  It makes me wish I was still in anthropology.  I could actually see this thing if I were in a PhD program at Davis or something.  But yeah, the watered-down, PR-seeking drivel that gets written up about these things really makes me angry.  It’s the same shit that you see on the History and Discovery Channels.  There’s real science here, and all the bullshit in newspapers and magazines demeans that.
